TSAF Climbers Win Six Medals at Asian Kids Championship
Sudharshan Murmu and Akash Soren Claim Gold in Speed Events at Pune

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel Adventure Foundation Sport Climbing Academy cadets won six medals at IFSC Asian Kids Championship 2025.
The International Federation of Sport Climbing event concluded in Pune. It ran from November 1 to 4.
Sudharshan Murmu claimed gold in Youth C Speed Boys. Akash Soren won gold in Youth D Speed Boys.
Shankar Singh Kuntiya earned two medals at the championship. He secured silver in Youth D Speed Boys category.
Moreover, Kuntiya won silver in Youth D Boys Boulder. His dual-medal performance stood out prominently.
Mora Biruli grabbed bronze in Youth D Speed Boys. Manisha Hansda clinched silver in Youth D Speed Girls.
The competition featured two age categories. Under-13 and Under-15 athletes participated across disciplines.
Thirteen countries sent teams to the championship. India, South Korea, Hong Kong China and Japan competed.
Thailand, Jordan, Malaysia and Kazakhstan participated too. Philippines, Iran, Kyrgyzstan joined the event.
Singapore and China completed the participant list. Twelve TSAF academy athletes represented India.
Sunkyo Jin accompanied the team as Technical Director. Instructors Vikash and Neha provided technical guidance.
The academy has hosted Asian championships previously. Jamshedpur welcomed the event in 2022 and 2023.
Hemant Gupta leads Tata Steel Adventure Foundation currently. He praised the athletes’ spirit and determination.
“Their hard work reflects quality training,” Gupta stated. The medals demonstrate India’s growing climbing strength.
TSAF continues developing sport climbing across India. The foundation nurtures young talent systematically.
