Free Shelter Home Inaugurated in Jamshedpur Under Deendayal Upadhyaya Yojana National Urban Livelihood Mission

A new free shelter home, established under the Deendayal Upadhyaya Yojana National Urban Livelihood Mission, was inaugurated today in Jamshedpur by MLA Saryu Roy.

JAMSHEDPUR – A new shelter home offering free accommodation was inaugurated at Chhaya Nagar by the Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy. The inauguration, which took place today, June 9, 2023, falls under the ambit of the Deendayal Upadhyaya Yojana National Urban Livelihood Mission.

Sanjay Kumar, the special officer of the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee, stated that the shelter home provides free accommodation for male shelterless individuals.

The facility has also been equipped with necessary amenities including bath and toilet facilities, electricity, and water. It also ensures protection from cold weather and offers safe entry to the residents.

Santoshni Murmu, Training Special Officer, City Mission Manager Salil Tirkey, Engineer Nitesh, Mahesh Prabhakar, and all community organizers were present at the inauguration.
