Minister Ramdas Soren Leads Celebrations With Cash Prizes For Best Performances

JAMSHEDPUR – State Education Minister Ramdas Soren inaugurated a grand Tusu fair at Sonari Domuhani, celebrating regional cultural traditions.
Distinguished guests included MLA Savita Mahato and Minority Commission Chairman Hidayat Khan. Moreover, former MPs Shailendra Mahato and Suman Mahato attended the celebrations.
“This fair brings families together,” Minister Soren emphasized. Meanwhile, the event showcased traditional art forms.
Prize Distribution
Rajnagar’s Maa Mansa Samiti secured first position for Tusu idol. Furthermore, Shahri Mahato won the second prize.
Jagannath Mahato from Sosomoli earned third place. Additionally, special recognition went to participants from Galudih.
Cultural Performances
Juru Mahato from Churudih won Rs 21,000 for Chaudal. Moreover, Baba Tilka Manjhi Basti team received recognition.
The fair featured traditional dance performances. Besides, Sadhu Mardi won appreciation for Budhi Gaadi dance.
Regional Significance
The festival connects three states culturally. However, each region celebrates with unique customs.
“This represents our biggest tribal festival,” explained Mohan Karmakar. Meanwhile, celebrations will continue across regions.
