JAMSHEDPUR – Eight gang members were arrested following the fatal stabbing of Devaraj Pillai in the Bistupur area.
The Jamshedpur police arrested eight men after a violent attack in Bistupur on October 13, when Devaraj Pillai was killed, and another person was seriously injured.
A team led by DSP was formed, and technical evidence helped track down the accused.
Senior Superintendent of Police Kishore Kaushal confirmed the arrest and stated that the police recovered a knife, two motorcycles, a scooter, and a mobile phone used in the crime.
The arrested suspects, identified as Manmeet Singh Gujral, Yash Sonkar, Abhay Kumar Yadav, Arush Lal, Prateek Kumar, Amit Singh, Anmol Lal, and Joydeep Nayak, have confessed to their roles in the crime.
They were sent to judicial custody after the interrogation.
