JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel’s mining operations demonstrated exceptional safety standards by securing 38 awards at the 42nd Annual Mines Safety Week celebrations in Bhubaneswar.

The mining division showcased remarkable safety protocols this year. Multiple mines earned recognition for their stringent safety measures.

Moreover, the company has maintained zero fatalities in these mines for the past three years. Additionally, these mines have implemented advanced digital safety monitoring systems.

Outstanding Performances

Tiringapahad, Kamarda, and Saruabil demonstrated exceptional safety standards. Meanwhile, these facilities have also achieved ISO 45001 certification.

Furthermore, these mines employ over 5,000 workers directly. In addition, they follow international safety protocols.

The mines utilize AI-powered monitoring systems for enhanced safety. Besides, they conduct weekly safety drills for all employees.
