10,000 Candidates Appeared for CTET in Jamshedpur*

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) was conducted in Jamshedpur on Sunday.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) organized the CTET exam, which took place in pen-paper mode.

A total of 16 exam centers were set up across the city.

Approximately 10,000 candidates participated in the exam.

Special arrangements were made by the board to ensure smooth conduct.

CTET is a national-level teacher eligibility test.

The exam was held in two shifts, allowing candidates to appear for Paper 1, Paper 2, or both.

Entry began at 7:30 AM, and the exam concluded at 4:30 PM.

Paper I was for primary level (Class 1 to 5) and Paper II was for elementary level (Class 6 to 8).

Each paper consisted of 150 questions worth 150 marks.

The questions assessed factual knowledge, conceptual understanding, application, problem-solving, reasoning, and critical thinking.

The aim was to evaluate the candidates’ understanding of the subjects they would teach and their knowledge of educational content.

All exam centers reported a malpractice-free examination.

Dr. Ranjit Panda, District RCH Officer, emphasized the importance of this exam in maintaining high teaching standards.

The CTET exam is crucial for ensuring qualified teachers in schools across the country.

Authorities ensured strict vigilance to maintain the integrity of the exam.
