JAMSHEDPUR – BJP MLA from Ranchi, CP Singh, visited Jamshedpur on Wednesday, where he was welcomed at the BJP district office by District President Sudhanshu Ojha and other party members. During his media interaction, Singh launched a sharp attack on the Hemant Soren-led Jharkhand government and Congress.
Singh criticized the state government on coal-related matters, stating that Jharkhand should not overestimate its influence. “If India takes a strong stance, Jharkhand may face difficulties. Even incoming goods can be stopped,” he warned. Referring to past incidents, he remarked, “Mamata Banerjee caused discomfort for Jharkhand by halting potatoes. Hemant Soren only knows how to make statements, not act.”
Support for ‘One Nation, One Election’
CP Singh also spoke in favor of the ‘One Nation, One Election’ proposal, asserting that the opposition is worried about its implementation. “The bill may have come late, but it’s a necessary reform. Elections cost crores of rupees, which could instead be used for the country’s development,” he stated.
He accused opposition parties of being obstacles to progress, claiming that they do not want the nation to develop. Singh reiterated BJP’s commitment to efficient governance and economic growth.
The visit underscored the BJP’s continued focus on highlighting governance issues in Jharkhand while promoting national policy reforms.
