JAMSHEDPUR – The city’s Durga Puja celebrations kicked off with the inauguration of two significant pandals on Shashthi, marking the beginning of the festival.
The Ram Das Bhatta and Contractors Area Durga Puja Committee unveiled their pandal at Manimella Ground.
Moreover, social worker and Sreeleathers proprietor Sekhar Dey officiated the inauguration ceremony.
Committee President Goutam Kumar Bhowmik led the proceedings at the Manimella Ground event.
In addition, Secretary BS Rao and Treasurer Arun Kumar Lal were present during the inauguration.
The committee members expressed their enthusiasm for this year’s celebrations.
Meanwhile, Sekhar Dey also inaugurated the 10th Durga Puja Utsav at The Milanee in Bistupur.
Raju Dutta, General Secretary of The Milanee, welcomed Dey at the Bistupur venue.
"Our pandal showcases the rich cultural heritage of Bengal," remarked a committee member.
On the other hand, The Milanee’s celebration marks a decade of organizing Durga Puja festivities.
The dual inaugurations highlight the city’s fervor for the annual festival.
Furthermore, both pandals are expected to draw large crowds throughout the Puja days.
"We’ve taken special care to ensure safety and comfort for all visitors," stated an organizer.
The events signal the start of a week-long celebration across Jamshedpur.
Devotees and art enthusiasts alike are eagerly anticipating the elaborate pandal decorations.
