PM Visit Rehearsal Causes Major Traffic Snarls in Jamshedpur

Hour-Long Dry Run Leads to Three-Hour Gridlock Across City

Key Points:

• Dry run for PM Modi’s visit triggers widespread traffic chaos

• One-way route from Sonari Airport to Tatanagar Station cleared

• Commuters stranded for hours in unexpected traffic jams

JAMSHEDPUR – A rehearsal for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit sparked extensive traffic disruptions throughout Jamshedpur on Saturday.

The dry run involved clearing the route from Sonari Airport to Tatanagar Station.

Vehicles mimicking the Prime Minister’s convoy participated in the exercise.

However, the brief drill resulted in a prolonged three-hour traffic nightmare for residents.

Stringent security measures were implemented along the designated path.

Barriers blocked all cross streets, restricting both pedestrian and vehicular movement.

Meanwhile, commuters from various areas faced severe delays due to the blocked routes.

Many were caught off guard by the sudden traffic snarls across the city.

On the other hand, unexpected rain exacerbated the misery for those stuck in gridlock.

The impact of the rehearsal extended far beyond the immediate vicinity.

Roads connecting Tatanagar Station to Burmamines via the overbridge experienced congestion.

Moreover, routes linking Sakchi to different parts of the city were similarly affected.

Long queues of vehicles formed in numerous areas, frustrating countless commuters.

The exercise highlighted the need for top notch security in the city in view of the PM’s visit.

Although, authorities’ efforts to ensure smooth proceedings inadvertently inconvenienced many residents, the residents themselves were accommodating and understood the reasons.
