RANCHI – Chief Minister Hemant Soren announced a plan to provide Rs 1 lakh annually to poor families in Jharkhand, contingent on public support.
The announcement came during an "Aapki Yojana, Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar" event in Bokaro.
Moreover, Soren inaugurated and laid foundations for schemes worth Rs 525.94 crore in the district.
The CM highlighted the government’s efforts during the Covid pandemic to assist migrant workers.
Furthermore, he released the second installment of the Chief Minister Mainya Samman Yojana.
Soren described this as a gesture of respect for women during Karma parva.
Additionally, he emphasized Jharkhand’s rich history, mentioning figures like Veer Birsa Munda and Sido Kanhu.
The CM addressed his recent arrest by the Enforcement Directorate, asserting his readiness to face challenges.
He predicted a victory for the INDIA bloc in the upcoming assembly elections.
On the other hand, Soren cautioned against BJP’s potential divisive tactics during the election period.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Jamshedpur on September 15 for various events.
In contrast, Soren warned of a strong response to BJP’s campaign efforts in the state.
