MP Bidyut Baran Mahato Flags Off Direct Train from Tatanagar to Jaynagar

MP Bidyut Baran Mahato inaugurates the long-awaited direct train service from Tatanagar to Jaynagar, set to run weekly on Fridays.

A direct train service from Tatanagar to Jaynagar was flagged off by MP Bidyut Baran Mahato, fulfilling a long-standing demand of the Mithilanchal community.

JAMSHEDPUR – After years of persistent efforts, a direct train service from Tatanagar to Jaynagar was officially launched on Friday by MP Bidyut Baran Mahato.

The inauguration took place at Tatanagar Railway Station, where members of the Mithilanchal community expressed their gratitude to the MP for making this service a reality.

MP Mahato shared that the demand for a direct train to Mithila had been ongoing for a long time, and the Ministry of Railways has finally addressed it.

The new train service will operate once a week on Fridays, departing from Tatanagar and arriving in Jaynagar the following day.

The return journey from Jaynagar will begin on Saturday evening, reaching Tatanagar on Sunday morning.

Mahato assured that if the service sees strong passenger demand, efforts will be made to increase its frequency to a regular schedule.

He also extended his thanks to the Prime Minister, the Railway Minister, and the General Manager of South Eastern Railway for their support in launching this service.

The inaugural train departed from Tatanagar at 6:50 PM on Friday and is scheduled to reach Jaynagar at 11:30 AM on Saturday.

The return train will leave Jaynagar at 7:20 PM on Saturday, arriving back in Tatanagar at 11:00 AM on Sunday.
