Congress Leader Slams BJP Over UP Name Plate Controversy

Dr. Ajoy Kumar accuses BJP of ‘state-sponsored fanaticism’, predicts All India Alliance victory in Jharkhand

Former MP criticizes BJP’s divisive policies, questions party’s commitment to tribal welfare and state development.

JAMSHEDPUR – Former MP and senior Congress leader Dr. Ajoy Kumar launched a scathing attack on the BJP, condemning their recent actions in Uttar Pradesh and their policies in Jharkhand.

In a press statement released on Sunday, Kumar accused the BJP of engaging in "state-sponsored fanaticism" following what he termed as "state-sponsored terrorism" in Manipur and Tripura.

The Congress leader took aim at the recent order in Uttar Pradesh requiring dhabas and restaurants to install name plates.

"This divisive move stems from those with ‘Manuvadi’ thinking, aiming to fracture our nation along religious and caste lines," Kumar asserted.

He argued that the BJP is attempting to resurrect ‘untouchability’ in a new form, undermining national unity.

"The BJP’s ‘divide and rule’ policy will not succeed in Jharkhand," Kumar declared, referring to the party as the "Bharatiya Jahili Party."

He accused the BJP of trying to incite communal tension among tribal and minority communities in the state.

Kumar also criticized a recent statement by the Home Minister, calling it a shameful attempt to sow discord.

Allegations of BJP’s Lack of Development Plans

The Congress leader claimed that the BJP lacks a development roadmap for Jharkhand.

"Instead, they have a detailed plan to destabilize the state through division and hatred," Kumar stated.

He expressed confidence that the people of Jharkhand would thwart the BJP’s dream of forming a government based on such policies.

Kumar dismissed the BJP’s attempts to certify its intentions towards Jharkhand, referencing past scandals.

"What about the Vyapam scam and Saradha Chit Fund scam?" he questioned, challenging BJP leaders to address corruption charges against a former BJP Chief Minister.

Tribal Welfare and Sarna Dharma Code

Kumar accused the BJP of trying to mislead the tribal community while asserting that tribals know their true well-wishers.

He challenged the Modi government to explain the delay in implementing the Sarna Dharma Code, describing it as a symbol of religious and cultural freedom for tribals.

"An All India Alliance government will be formed in Jharkhand," Kumar predicted, expressing confidence in the people’s determination to expel what he called the "Bharatiya Jhoothi Party" from the state.

The Congress leader’s statement painted a picture of a BJP fostering division and hatred while failing to address key development issues in Jharkhand.

Kumar forecasted a strong response from the state’s electorate against the BJP in the upcoming elections, signaling a heated political battle ahead in Jharkhand.
