60-Year-Old Man Murdered, Head Severed in Jamshedpur Village
Accused Tied to Tree and Beaten by Villagers Before Police Arrest
Nitai Mahato, a 60-year-old resident of Kudalum village in Jamshedpur’s MGM police station area, was brutally murdered on Sunday morning. The accused, Mithun Tudu, allegedly slit Mahato’s throat with a sharp weapon and took the severed head to his house.
JAMSHEDPUR – In a shocking incident, Mithun Tudu, a resident of Kudalum village, allegedly murdered 60-year-old Nitai Mahato by slitting his throat with a sharp weapon on Sunday morning. The heinous crime took place in the MGM police station area of Jamshedpur.
Villagers apprehended the accused and tied him to a tree, delivering a severe beating before the police arrived at the scene and arrested him.
The authorities are currently interrogating Tudu to determine the motives behind the gruesome act.
Mahato’s body was taken into custody by the police and sent for postmortem examination.
Disturbingly, after committing the murder, the accused reportedly took the victim’s severed head to his own residence.
The police successfully recovered the head from Tudu’s house during their investigation.
According to local sources, Mahato had left his home around 4 am, informing his wife that he intended to gather mangoes.
Tragically, he was brutally murdered approximately two hours later.
The deceased resided in the village with his wife.
In addition to the severed head, the accused also allegedly took possession of Mahato’s clothing.
Ram Babu Mandal, the in-charge of MGM police station, confirmed that the accused has been arrested and is being questioned to uncover the reasons behind the murder.
The shocking nature of the crime has left the village in a state of disbelief and mourning, as the community grapples with the loss of one of their own.
