JAMSHEDPUR – The District Telecom Committee approved 11 applications for mobile tower installations while emphasizing network expansion in remote areas of East Singhbhum.
Additional District Magistrate (Law and Order) Aniket Sachan led the review meeting at the Collectorate. Moreover, the committee thoroughly examined 49 applications for No Objection Certificates (NOCs).
Application Review Status
Out of the total applications, six faced rejection. Meanwhile, 32 cases were sent back to service providers for corrections.
The committee granted ex-post facto approval to one deemed approved case. However, another application involving Bihar government land was canceled.
Focus on Rural Connectivity
Bharti Airtel received specific directives for three villages. Furthermore, these locations – Phuljhor, Makulijungle, and Bhumru – fall under the aspirational district program.
BSNL representatives highlighted installation challenges at multiple locations. Additionally, they were asked to submit a detailed problem report for quick resolution.
Documentation Guidelines
The committee emphasized proper land documentation requirements. Moreover, service providers must now coordinate with Circle Officers for land verification.
Local administration has strengthened the application process. Besides, this aims to prevent delays caused by incomplete documentation.
