JAMSHEDPUR – Rajgangpur Railway Station marked a major development with the introduction of stoppages for three express trains, inaugurated by Union Minister Jual Oram.
Three prominent express trains – Maurya Express, Hatia-SMVB Express, and Azad Hind Express – will now halt at Rajgangpur. This enhancement comes as part of Indian Railways’ efforts to strengthen regional connectivity.
“This initiative marks a significant step toward regional development,” remarked a senior railway official. The official added that passenger footfall is expected to increase by 40% with these additions.

The new stoppages will particularly benefit over 5,000 daily commuters from surrounding areas. Meanwhile, local businesses anticipate increased commercial activities around the station area.
Moreover, students traveling to educational institutions in major cities will find their journeys more convenient. The station has also undergone infrastructure upgrades worth Rs 2.5 crore to handle increased passenger traffic.
