Jamshedpur Teachers Protest for Overdue Salaries and Allowances

Educators Demand Immediate Payment of Outstanding Salaries at District Education Office

In Jamshedpur, newly appointed teachers have staged a demonstration demanding the prompt payment of their outstanding salaries and Dearness Allowance (DA).

JAMSHEDPUR – The teachers, who were appointed in May of the previous year, have gathered at the office of the District Education Department to voice their grievances.

They claim to have not received their salaries or arrears for approximately four to five months.

During the demonstration, they directly addressed their concerns to the District Education Officer.

The protesting educators highlighted that this issue appears to be isolated to their district, as counterparts in other districts have received their payments.

The urgency of their demand is clear—they want the department to settle all outstanding salaries of the newly appointed teachers without further delay.

This protest underscores the financial challenges faced by educators and the need for timely compensation to ensure their commitment and stability in the educational sector.
