Kadma’s DBMS College Excels in 5KM Running Event, Boosts Student Morale

DBMS College in Kadma, under the guidance of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, Government of India, recently held a spirited 5-kilometer running competition, witnessing significant student participation and community support.

JAMSHEDPUR – DBMS College in Kadma held a spirited 5-kilometer running competition that proved to be a huge draw.

In a gesture of gratitude, DBMS College’s management acknowledged the crucial role of JUSCO and the Kadma police station in the successful execution of the race.

On this special day, the college’s entire teaching and non-teaching staff were present, adding to the event’s vibrancy.

The winners received their accolades from the college’s President and Secretary, marking a proud moment for the achievers.

In the girls’ category, Sumitra claimed the third prize, while Srishti Saloni and Divya Jyoti secured the second and first places, respectively.

The boys’ race saw Shubham Kumar Jha, Amit Yadav, and Manoj Mahato winning the third, second, and first prizes, respectively.

The race also saw the participation of Dr. Monica Uppal, Vice Principal, and Dr. Juhi Dedhida, Principal, alongside other college officials, embodying the spirit of unity and encouragement.

To infuse enthusiasm among the students, College Secretary Sripriya Dharmarajan, Co-Secretary Tamilselvi Balakrishnan, and Usha Ramanathan joined the race.

Firoz Khan, a senior Tata Steel Sports official, B. Chandrashekhar, DBMS Trust Chairman, and Satish Singh, College Governing Body Secretary, initiated the event by flagging off the participants.

The route, starting from near the statue of late Nirmal Mahato at Kadma Uliyan, passed through Link Road and culminated near the statue, witnessing 150 students in action.

The competition, held on Wednesday, was a remarkable display of sportsmanship and vigor among the students of DBMS College, Kadma.
