IDS 4.0 Spurs Green Innovation Among Students

National competition by CII-Young Indians ignites student creativity for environmental solutions.

The Confederation of Indian Industry-Young Indians (CII-YI) is hosting the national-level competition, Imagine-Do–Share (IDS), in 65 cities, engaging students in developing green innovations.

JAMSHEDPUR – IDS 4.0 is organized in three phases, inviting students from colleges nationwide to propose and develop sustainable solutions for a greener earth.

In the IMAGINE phase, participants will outline innovative ideas aimed at enhancing environmental sustainability.

The DO phase requires students to bring their ideas to life through prototypes, scheduled between 8th and 25th April 2024.

The SHARE phase culminates in a national pitch presentation on 8th May 2024, where finalists will showcase their validated ideas.

Throughout the competition, orientation and learning sessions will be provided to enhance participant knowledge and skills.

With a total prize pool of Rs 3.25 lakhs, IDS 4.0 focuses on "Innovate for a Greener Earth," encouraging eco-friendly innovations.

Sixteen teams from Jamshedpur, including representatives from XLRI, XITE, RVS College of Engineering and Technology, and Srinath University, have entered the competition.

Vedang Gutgutia, Chair Innovation Yi Jamshedpur, highlighted IDS 4.0’s role in fostering creativity, problem-solving, and environmental stewardship among students.

This initiative not only awards significant prizes but also offers a valuable platform for personal and professional development in addressing global environmental challenges.
