A woman railway worker’s leadership at Dhanbad Station exemplifies the railway’s commitment to gender equality.

The railway has strategically assigned 75% of its command roles to women, reflecting a firm belief in their abilities.

This move is a testament to women’s growing presence and success in traditionally male-dominated fields. In operations, women are proving their worth, handling key positions with skill and confidence. Notably, women were given charge of an MU train, highlighting their operational leadership.

The assignment of the Dhanbad-Sindri train guard position to a woman further illustrates the breaking of traditional barriers.

“Women are excelling in every role assigned, proving that gender does not define capability,” Kumar observed. The decision to entrust women with substantial responsibilities signifies deep respect and trust in their potential.

Reflecting on the day’s significance, a female TC shared, “Being given such responsibility is a proud moment for us, affirming the trust and respect we’ve earned.”

She remarked, “Today, we’re not just doing our jobs; we’re setting an example for future generations.”

The initiative underscores that women are capable of achieving great feats, standing shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts.
