PM Modi Announces Major Rail Revamp for 18 Jharkhand Stations
554 Stations to Get a Facelift Under Amrit Bharat Scheme
Prime Minister Narendra Modi allocates Rs 41,000 crore for modernizing 554 railway stations.
RANCHI – New developments under the scheme include the rejuvenation of 18 stations in Jharkhand.
The initiative was celebrated with foundation-laying ceremonies across various districts.
The online inauguration included the unveiling of an underpass in SaraiKela-Kharsawan’s Kharsawan block.
Central Minister Arjun Munda thanked PM Modi and the Railway Minister on behalf of Kharsawan’s residents.
He emphasized the scheme’s role in enhancing convenience for the populace.
Railway officer RK Gupta noted that more than Rs 650 crore would be invested in developing key stations.
These efforts include major stations in the Chakradharpur division, significantly boosting regional connectivity.
In Dhanbad, Modi inaugurated two underpasses and a passenger shed, part of a Rs 250 crore initiative.
The ceremony saw the participation of notable figures, including MP CP Choudhary and MLA’s wife Savitri Devi.
Several other inauguration and foundation-laying events were held across different railway sections.
MP Jayant Sinha announced the redevelopment of Ramgarh Cantt station, a project worth nearly Rs 17 crore.
He also inaugurated several underpasses and bridges, enhancing connectivity in his constituency.
The PM’s initiatives aim to transform the railway infrastructure, marking a milestone in India’s development journey.
Godda railway station is also set to undergo a transformation, benefiting from six new projects.
This effort underscores the government’s commitment to improving rail services and facilities nationwide.
