Agricultural Exhibition to Boost Kolhan’s Farming Sector

The inaugural dairy fair and agricultural exhibition in Chaibasa aims to revolutionize agriculture and dairy production in the Kolhan region.

CHAIBASA – The Union agriculture minister Arjun Munda today inaugurated an agricultural exhibition at Khuntikatti Maidan in Chaibasa.

He extended his thanks to the farmers for their significant contributions to the national economy.

I also proposed the establishment of a center in this region to aid in enhancing milk production.

The National Dairy Research Institute shared insights on increasing milk output in the area.

This marks the first event of its kind in Jharkhand, highlighting Kolhan’s agricultural potential.

The initiative is a collaboration with the National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal, Haryana.

Arjun Munda emphasized the need to propel agricultural practices forward in this relatively undeveloped region.

He said that despite national progress in agriculture, the area has lagged behind.

The event’s goal is to elevate the agricultural landscape in Kolhan.

The fair, set at Khunt Katti ground in Chaibasa district, opened today and will last three days.

The fair stands as Jharkhand’s first event of its kind, spearheaded by the National Dairy Research Institute from Karnal, Haryana.

This initiative marks a significant effort to boost agriculture in Kolhan, addressing the region’s developmental lag.

Munda added that the expo aims at enlightening attendees on enhancing milk production, a vital step for the area’s agricultural advancement.

Plans to establish a dedicated center in Kolhan were announced, promising local farmers support in dairy endeavors.
