Jamshedpur to Build ‘Mini India Memorial’ in Telco

MLA Saryu Roy inspects site for cultural showcase near Ma Bhuvaneshwari Mandir

A Mini India Memorial, representing diverse cultural aspects of Indian states, is planned for construction in Telco, Jamshedpur.

JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy, along with Tata Motors officials, conducted a site inspection for the proposed Mini India Memorial in Telco.

The strip near Ma Bhuvaneshwari Mandir and Valley View School in Kharangajhar was identified as an ideal location for the project.

Environmental sustainability will be a key focus in the memorial’s construction, ensuring minimal impact on the surroundings.

Roy announced plans to invite all Indian states to showcase their unique cultural and regional specialties at the memorial.

Experts from the Ministry of Environment, litterateurs, and artists will be involved in the site’s development.

A meeting with representatives from all states residing in Jamshedpur is scheduled for August 31 or September 1 to discuss the project.

Key representatives from major industries and institutions in Jamshedpur will also be invited to participate in the planning process.

The memorial aims to represent the social, cultural, literary, religious, and mythological features of various Indian states.

This initiative aligns with Jamshedpur’s reputation as a miniature India, known for its diverse population and cultural celebrations.

The site inspection team included Swarnarekha Area Development Trust Trustee Ashok Goyal and MLA’s personal secretary Sudhir Singh.

Amit Sharma of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha and Indrajit Singh were also present during the site visit.

Other attendees included Mahesh Tiwari, Golden Pandey, Durga Rao, and senior Tata Motors officials.

The project reflects Jamshedpur’s commitment to preserving and showcasing India’s diverse cultural heritage.

Roy emphasized the importance of involving residents from all Indian provinces in maintaining their cultural traditions within the city.
