Radio Listeners Association Remembers Ameen Sayani with Tributes

Jamshedpur Radio Listeners Association honors the late Ameen Sayani, celebrating his enduring legacy.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Jamshedpur Radio Listeners Association commemorated the iconic radio announcer Ameen Sayani on Friday, following his recent passing from a heart attack.

Established in 1965, the Association shared a profound bond with Sayani, notably during the 1977 silver jubilee of Binaca Geet Mala.

President Sunit Kumar reminisced about Sayani’s longstanding relationship with the association and his personal interactions with members.

Memories and dialogues from senior members, including Manohar Mahajan, V Raman, and Bharat Bhushan, were shared, highlighting Sayani’s impact.

The tribute included emotional bhajans and songs, reflecting the deep respect and affection for Sayani.

Approximately 40 members attended the event, demonstrating the community’s collective mourning and celebration of Sayani’s contribution to radio.
