Unseasonal Showers Drench Jharkhand Amid Western Disturbance

Ranchi and Jamshedpur Witness Unexpected Rains, Temperature Fluctuations

Unseasonal rainfall in Ranchi and Jamshedpur, triggered by a Western Disturbance, leads to a sudden increase in minimum temperatures across Jharkhand.

JAMSHEDPUR – A fresh Western Disturbance is anticipated to impact northwest India starting February 3, according to the Meteorological Department.

This follows today’s weather developments in Jharkhand, where unseasonal showers soaked various regions.

The Indian Meteorological Department’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre has forecasted sporadic light to moderate showers across Jharkhand.

In southern Jharkhand, Chaibasa and other areas recorded minimum temperatures exceeding 15 degrees Celsius.

Bokaro and Daltonganj, the Palamu headquarters, observed minimum temperatures of 13.5 and 12.2 degrees Celsius respectively.

Jamshedpur’s minimum temperature surged to 17 degrees Celsius, while Ranchi recorded 14.5 degrees Celsius.

The rise in minimum temperatures across Jharkhand was marked by unseasonal weather conditions in central, north-eastern, and southern regions.

A cyclonic circulation from Bangladesh to north Odisha, across Gangetic West Bengal, contributed to the weather changes.

The Western Disturbance impacting northern India is responsible for the unexpected showers in areas including Ranchi and Jamshedpur.
