Ananya Das of Jamshedpur takes charge as the District Magistrate and Collector of Subarnapur District, Odisha, marking a significant achievement.

JAMSHEDPUR – Ananya Das, originally from Jamshedpur, has recently taken on the role of District Magistrate and Collector in Subarnapur District, Odisha, showcasing a story of determination and academic excellence.

Her educational journey began at Rajendra Vidyalaya in Sakchi, where she completed her higher secondary education in the Science stream in 2013.

Ananya’s academic pursuits led her to Ravenshaw University in Cuttack, where she excelled as the second topper in English Literature.

Her career achievements include securing the 579th rank in the Railway Board’s examination on her first attempt in 2017, following which she served the Indian Railways for two years.

In 2019, Ananya’s dedication to her civil service aspirations was evident when she secured the 60th rank in the UPSC all India exams.

Her training in Missouri was marked by significant recognitions, winning top awards in poetry recitation and debate, demonstrating her diverse talents.

Ananya’s commitment to her studies was recognized early on, with accolades in various academic fields including a notable award for her essay in ‘Pratiyogita Darpan.’

Her family, including parents Badal Bhuiyan and Seema Das, and her younger brother Sambhav, who is studying abroad, have been significant supporters of her journey.

The pride felt by her grandfather Ranjan Das, uncles Shravan and Dilip Das, along with community elders, underscores the impact of her success on her hometown of Jamshedpur.
