Arjun Munda Offers Support to Bereaved Families in Adityapur Tragedy
Union Minister Arjun Munda visited the families of six youths who tragically lost their lives in a road accident, extending condolences and support.
JAMSHEDPUR – Union Minister Arjun Munda reached Babakuti, Adityapur, on Tuesday to offer his condolences to the families of six youths who died in a devastating road accident on Monday.
He expressed his sympathies and assured the families of his and the BJP’s support during this difficult time.
Among those present were outgoing Mayor Vinod Kumar Srivastava, Deputy Mayor Bobby Singh, BJP District President Vijay Mahato, and others.
Munda, emphasizing the loss, remarked that the death of these young individuals was a significant loss for the country, as youth represent the nation’s future.
He prayed for the peace of the departed souls.
The accident occurred early on Monday when eight youths from Babakuti were traveling in an Indigo car to drink tea.
Near Sai Mandir under Bistupur police station in Jamshedpur, their car struck a JUSCO electric pole and then collided with a tree, leading to catastrophic damage.
All eight youths were trapped inside the vehicle.
Bistupur police station, with the help of locals, used a gas cutter to rescue the youths, but sadly, five died on the spot, and one succumbed to injuries in the hospital.
The deceased are Piyush Kumar, Anirudh Kumar, Shubham Kumar, Hemant Kumar Singh, Suraj Kumar Shah, and Aniket Kumar.
The two critically injured, Harsh Kumar Jha and Ravi Jha, are receiving medical treatment.
Following the tragedy, the bodies were transported to Bistupur, and last rites were performed at Parvati Ghat.
Several local leaders and officials, including former vice president of Adityapur Municipal Council Purendra Narayan Singh and former MLA of Ichagarh Arvind Singh, also expressed their condolences.
