Jamshedpur Rail Land Reclaimed from Encroachers
Railway Clears Encroachments Under Jugsalai Overbridge in Jamshedpur
The Railways’ proactive measures reclaim land from encroachers under the Jugsalai Railway Overbridge, thwarting land mafia attempts in Jamshedpur.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Railways today successfully cleared encroachments on its land beneath the Jugsalai Railway Overbridge in Jamshedpur.
Recently, the same land had been freed during the overbridge’s construction but fell victim to encroachment again.
Senior Engineer of the IW Department, Sanjay Gupta, highlighted the urgency of this operation.
Gupta refuted claims of land leasing, asserting that such rumors were spread to mislead the public.
The IOW Department’s swift action led to the demolition of 11 large hoardings and temporary shops illegally set up on this land.
This move is part of an ongoing campaign against illegal encroachments on railway property.
Gupta announced plans for the construction of a foot overbridge by the Railways on the reclaimed land.
He emphasized the importance of securing the vacated land to prevent future encroachments.
Reports indicate that land mafias had attempted to seize this land, falsely claiming it was available for lease.
He said that the Railways’ vigilant efforts have been instrumental in protecting its property from illegal occupation.
