Jamshedpur MLA Saryu Roy Raises Concern Over Land Encroachment by Dhullu Mahato
Allegations of Land Occupation in Dhanbad Brought to Governor’s Attention
Saryu Roy, MLA of Jamshedpur East, has officially voiced concerns regarding alleged land encroachments by Dhullu Mahato, the BJP candidate for the Dhanbad Lok Sabha constituency.
JAMSHEDPUR – In his letter to the Jharkhand Governor and Chief Minister, Roy cited instances where Mahato, also an MLA from Baghmara, reportedly encroached on about 200 acres of land. This land, belonging to villagers and the government, has been illegally surrounded by a high boundary wall, claims Roy.
This encroachment has reportedly isolated the land and enclosed a rural road, significantly affecting local residents, including those from Mahato’s own village.
The letter detailed eyewitness accounts and evidence of the encroachment, stressing the adverse impact on the community.
Roy has requested immediate action from state authorities to address these grievances and reclaim the encroached land. He plans to meet with the Governor and Chief Minister upon their return to further discuss the issue and push for their intervention.
