Young Indians Jamshedpur Chapter Wins Prestigious Awards at Annual Conference

The Young Indians Jamshedpur chapter’s commendable efforts in climate change and child safety earned them top honors at the national conference, with Dr. S. Jaishankar lauding their achievements.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Young Indians Jamshedpur chapter has made significant strides in promoting environmental and child safety initiatives.

At the national conference in Chennai, the chapter was recognized for its outstanding work in these areas.

External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar and environmentalist Sonam Wangchuk, who inspired the character ‘Rancho’ in "Three Idiots," presented the awards.

The chapter’s achievements include the construction of eight ponds in rural areas under its Climate Change vertical.

Additionally, their Masoom Project focuses on educating school children about sexual exploitation and harassment.

Dr. Jaishankar, in his address, highlighted the impressive representation of India by the Young Indians.

He emphasized India’s global perception as a blend of talent, technology, and tradition under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

Dr. Jaishankar elaborated on the government’s initiatives fostering environmental protection, employment, innovation, and business.

He also outlined India’s strategy in the technology-driven world to balance opportunities and risks, underlining India’s effective digital infrastructure.

Moreover, he described ‘Brand India’ as a reflection of the nation’s heritage and achievements.

Dr. Jaishankar mentioned ‘Amrit Kaal’ as an era for India’s youth, pointing to the Modi government’s foundational work for a developed India.

Vishal Aggarwala from Jamshedpur moderated an interactive session with Dr. Jaishankar, discussing topics like dual citizenship, entrepreneurship visas, and the expansion of Visa on Arrival.

Dr. Jaishankar acknowledged the complexities surrounding dual citizenship but noted the ongoing discussions and potential consideration of entrepreneurship visas.
