Young Indians Jamshedpur Organizes Successful ‘TeenOvate’ Camp to Nurture Entrepreneurial Spirit
Innovation and Entrepreneurship Verticals Join Hands to Empower Students with Essential Skills
The Young Indians (Yi) Jamshedpur Chapter, through a collaborative effort between its Innovation and Entrepreneurship Verticals, successfully organized a two-day summer camp called ‘TeenOvate – Entrepreneurial Mindset & GenAI’ for Thalir (school) students from various educational institutions across the city. The event, which took place at the Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce, saw an impressive turnout of over 150 students from 10 different schools.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Young Indians (Yi) Jamshedpur Chapter has demonstrated its commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among the youth by successfully conducting a two-day summer camp titled ‘TeenOvate – Entrepreneurial Mindset & GenAI.’
The camp, a result of a collaborative effort between the chapter’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Verticals, aimed to ignite the entrepreneurial spirit and technological curiosity among young minds.
The success of the ‘TeenOvate’ summer camp underscores the Young Indians Jamshedpur Chapter’s dedication to nurturing the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs, equipping them with the necessary skills and mindset to thrive in the modern world.
The camp received resounding praise from both students and educators, with Sumaiya Khatoon from NML KPS (Agrico) expressing her enthusiasm for the session, which taught valuable lessons in teamwork, time management, and entrepreneurship, leaving her eagerly anticipating future sessions.
Throughout the two-day camp, participants were introduced to various important topics, including the Yi Road Safety Farishtey Awareness Program, Innovation Fest, and Accessibility Etiquettes, enhancing their knowledge and understanding of crucial matters.
The event was honored by the presence of Amit N Srivastava, Director of Arka Jain University, who served as the chief guest and shared his inspiring journey and insights as a first-generation entrepreneur, leaving a lasting impact on the students.
Shradha Agarwal led the second day of the camp, focusing on the captivating world of Generative AI, engaging students in simulations covering Text Generation, Image Generation, Image to Speech Generation, Video Generation, and Song Generation, providing a comprehensive and enlightening experience.
In a touching display of civic responsibility, the students wrote letters to their parents, encouraging them to exercise their right to vote in Jamshedpur on 25th May 2024, emphasizing the crucial role of active participation in shaping the nation’s future.
Vivek Debuka, Co-Chair of the Entrepreneurship Vertical, expressed his admiration for the students’ enthusiasm and creativity, noting that the camp was designed to help them understand real-world problems and cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset.
The first day of the camp, led by Vivek Debuka, Co-Chair of the Entrepreneurship Vertical, introduced students to entrepreneurship through engaging storytelling sessions and a live simulation where they worked in groups to identify business problems, create empathy maps, devise solutions, and explore the Four P’s of marketing.
Udit Agarwal, Chair of Yi Jamshedpur, conveyed his delight at the event’s success, emphasizing that TeenOvate was an exceptional initiative to spark entrepreneurial spirit and technological curiosity among young minds, and expressing pride in providing a platform for students to explore and innovate.
The day concluded with an insightful session on Impactful Decision Making by CA Rishi Arora, imparting valuable life lessons to the students.
Over 150 students from 10 different schools across Jamshedpur participated in the camp held at the Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce, showcasing the widespread interest and enthusiasm for such initiatives.
