Gaganjeet Bhullar, Rahil Gangjee, Angad Cheema Top Leaderboard in Jamshedpur

Gaganjeet Bhullar’s consistent performance has kept him at the forefront of the TATA Steel Tour Championship 2023 in Jamshedpur, with Rahil Gangjee and Angad Cheema closely trailing.

JAMSHEDPUR – Gaganjeet Bhullar, the 2020 champion, continues to lead the TATA Steel Tour Championship with a solid 14-under 130 at the halfway stage.

Bhullar’s masterful play, especially on the par-5s, has been key to his success, maintaining a two-shot lead in the tournament.

Rahil Gangjee, recording a personal best of 10-under 62, climbed significantly to share the second spot with Angad Cheema.

Gangjee’s remarkable performance at Golmuri Golf Course, highlighted by seven birdies on the front-nine, has brought him into the spotlight.

Angad Cheema remained consistent with another 66, solidifying his position in joint second alongside Gangjee.

The unique format, with players alternating between the Beldih and Golmuri Golf Courses, continues to challenge the golfers.

Defending champion Chikkarangappa S, with a 67, is positioned in tied 17th place, while TATA Steel PGTI Ranking leader Om Prakash Chouhan is tied 33rd.

Local professionals Karan Taunk and Kurush Heerjee are further down the leaderboard, highlighting the depth of talent in the tournament.

The Championship, with its high stakes and challenging course, is setting the stage for a thrilling conclusion over the next two rounds.

Bhullar’s focused drive and putting skills are proving decisive, as he aims to replicate his winning strategy from the first two rounds.

The event, a pinnacle of the season for the PGTI, showcases the rising standards and competitive spirit of Indian golf.
