JAMSHEDPUR – In a landmark meeting chaired by Shravan Kumar, General Manager of Electricity, key developments were discussed regarding JUSCO electricity provision in Tata lease and neighboring areas.
MLA Saryu Roy played a pivotal role, advocating for accelerated electricity distribution and infrastructure development in various localities.
Significant strides have been made in establishing a new substation in Bagunnagar, with its power capacity upgraded from 2 KVA to 10 KVA, demonstrating Roy’s effective leadership.
In Bistupur, the construction of a substation connecting Chhayanagar-Chandinagar and Nirmalnagar has been completed, with its commissioning scheduled within 15 days.
Roy’s initiative has led to the expansion of JUSCO electricity services to approximately two thousand households, significantly improving their quality of life.
The MLA’s commitment to electricity access in Bhaktinagar, Bhuiyandih, and Burmamines has resulted in proactive surveys for establishing substations and a robust power network.
Efforts are underway to extend JUSCO electricity services to ‘D’ Block, Tamba Toli in Bagunnagar and Birsanagar area, following Roy’s proposals.
A camp has been set up for distributing application forms for new electricity connections, with over 200 individuals already showing interest.
The provision of electricity in Sidhu Kanhu Basti is planned to commence by September 2023, marking another milestone in Roy’s advocacy for community development.
JUSCO’s plans to power Shaktinagar and Shantinagar in Baridih have been hindered by the unavailability of a suitable sub-station site, a challenge Roy is committed to resolving.
In Golmuri, Roy’s dialogue with the Deputy Commissioner aims to expedite electricity distribution in Kebul Town and Kebul Basti.
