KANDRA – Three young men riding a motorcycle were critically injured Thursday afternoon when an unidentified vehicle collided with their bike in the Lakhna Singh Ghati area under Kandra police station.
The motorcycle, bearing registration number JH 01GP 6471, was completely damaged in the impact. Eyewitnesses said panic gripped the spot immediately after the crash.
Passersby quickly alerted Kandra police station about the accident. Officers reached the location soon after receiving the information.
With help from local residents, police arranged an ambulance and rushed all three injured men to hospital. Doctors said their condition remained critical following the collision.
Police have taken the wrecked motorcycle into custody and begun an investigation into the crash. Efforts are underway to trace the unidentified vehicle involved.
Authorities are also working to determine the exact circumstances that led to the accident. Meanwhile, the Kandra-Chowka stretch has previously witnessed several similar road accidents involving fatalities and injuries.
