Anmol Besra, son of BJP leader, and friend killed in a tragic road accident, another friend critically injured.
CHANDIL – Tragedy struck on Friday evening in Chandil when Anmol Besra, the son of BJP leader Basko Besra, and his female friend Ananya Verma were killed in a horrifying road accident.
Their friend Yuvraj, who was also present in the car, is reportedly in critical condition and is currently undergoing treatment at MGM Hospital.
According to reports, the accident occurred around 6:30 pm on Friday when Anmol was returning from tuition with his friends Yuvraj and Ananya in his Scorpio, bearing the registration number JH05DL- 1737.
Near Shaharbeda, Anmol seemingly lost control of the vehicle and collided with the divider.
The car subsequently came under the wheels of a trailer moving in the parallel direction, causing the Scorpio to be completely smashed.
Local people and Chandil police station officers immediately rushed to the spot and transported the injured to MGM Hospital.
On arrival, doctors pronounced Anmol and Ananya dead after a preliminary investigation, while Yuvraj continues to battle for his life.
BJP leader Basko Besra and his supporters arrived at MGM Hospital shortly after receiving news of the devastating incident.
Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
