Jamshedpur to Expand Electricity Access Under MLA Saryu Roy’s Initiative

New Substation to Enhance Power Supply in Baridih Basti, Shantinagar, and Shaktinagar

Efforts to expand electricity access in various regions of Jamshedpur are advancing under the guidance of MLA Saryu Roy, in partnership with Tata Steel Utilities Infrastructure Services Limited (TS UISL).

JAMSHEDPUR – MLA Saryu Roy is spearheading a project, in collaboration with TS UISL, to provide JUSCO electricity to communities including Baridih Basti, Shantinagar, and Shaktinagar, through the construction of a new substation.

A delegation from TS UISL recently conducted site visits in Baridih to identify a location for the substation. After detailed evaluations, areas such as Bagun Nagar, TOP Maidan, and Hari Maidan have been selected for this critical infrastructure development.

The officials confirmed that construction activities for the substation are expected to start soon, marking a significant step towards improving the electricity supply framework in these areas.

The site selection process was attended by MLA Saryu Roy’s personal secretary, Sudhir Singh, alongside other officials and members of the TS UISL delegation, underscoring the collaborative approach taken to address the electricity needs of Jamshedpur’s residents.
