Shri Ram Sena celebrates Chhath Mahaparv in Jamshedpur with a grand distribution of puja items.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Jamshedpur Shri Ram Sena marked the auspicious occasion of Chhath Mahaparv by distributing 1001 soups and other puja items to devotees. This initiative was led by the founder of Shri Ram Sena, Nitish Kumar, who emphasized the importance of supporting the community during this significant festival.
Kumar highlighted that such distributions are an annual tradition by the organization, aimed at assisting those observing the Chhath fast.
The event was graced by the presence of Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato and former Potka MLA Menaka Sardar.
MP Bidyut Baran Mahato spoke about the sanctity of Chhath, recognizing it as a great festival and stressing the importance of aiding the devotees.
Chhath Mahaparv, a vital festival especially in the states of Bihar and Jharkhand, involves worshipping the Sun God and Chhathi Maiya. It is known for its rigorous rituals, including fasting and offering prayers at riverbanks or water bodies.
Nitish Kumar said that the contribution of Shri Ram Sena in facilitating the rituals underscores the organization’s commitment to preserving and promoting cultural and religious practices in the region.
He said that his organization is not only committed to help in maintaining the festival’s traditional essence but also strengthen the sense of community among the participants.
Bidyut Mahato also seconded him and said that the involvement of prominent local leaders further adds to the significance of the event, indicating a blend of cultural reverence and political recognition in the region.
