BOKARO – Hardik Shri from Jharkhand has achieved the top position in the Design Aptitude Test (NID DAT), the entrance exam for the prestigious National Institute of Design (NID).
Hardik, a resident of Bokaro district, completed his schooling at DPS Bokaro.
He prepared for the entrance exam at an institute in Ranchi after his intermediate studies.
He shared that his interest in fine arts began in childhood, but convincing his family about pursuing a career in design was challenging.
Initially, his family was hesitant about design as a viable career option.
However, his mother Babita was very supportive.
In Bokaro, the field of design is not well-known, making it difficult for Hardik to gain everyone’s support.
Despite these challenges, Hardik will now continue his studies at NID Ahmedabad, making his family proud.
The NID-DAT exam is divided into two stages: prelims and mains, with different formats and evaluation processes.
Prelims is a written exam, while mains includes a studio test and an interview.
Candidates must pass the intermediate examination from a recognized central or state board to be eligible for the NID entrance exam.
