Sub-Junior Hockey Championship Kicks Off with High-Scoring Matches
Naval Tata Hockey Academy hosts intense opening day of Jharkhand’s youth tournament
The Naval Tata Hockey Jharkhand Sub-Junior State Hockey Championship 2024 began with a bang at Jamshedpur’s premier hockey facility.
JAMSHEDPUR – Eight under-19 teams converged at the Naval Tata Hockey Academy for day one of the Sub-Junior State Hockey Championship, featuring lopsided victories and standout performances.
The inaugural match saw NTHA dominate West Singhbhum with a stunning 13-0 victory.
Despite the loss, West Singhbhum’s Priyasan Burh earned Player of the Match honors for his resilient performance.
Khunti showcased their prowess with a commanding 5-0 win over Gumla in the day’s second fixture.
Subhod Bodra of Khunti was named Player of the Match for his exceptional play.
The third match ended with Simdega overpowering Hazaribagh 6-1, with George Minj from Hazaribagh receiving the Player of the Match accolade.
