JAMSHEDPUR – The BJP Mahila Morcha staged a protest outside the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Jharkhand, expressing their outrage over the increasing atrocities against women under the Hemant Soren government.
The protesting women alleged that since the formation of the Hemant Soren government, crimes against women have surged, with 6,400 rape cases reported so far.
They also highlighted incidents like the murder of a female police officer and the rape of a foreign woman as evidence of the growing insecurity for women in the state.
The protesters demanded the dismissal of the Hemant Soren government, claiming that the administration has failed to protect women.
The demonstration saw significant participation, including the presence of MP Vidyut Varan Mahato, who lent his support to the cause.
The women submitted a memorandum to the Governor, urging immediate action against the government.
The protest underscored the deep concern among women about their safety in the state.
