Tata Steel seizes fake Tata Wiron barbed wire material in Palghar and Bhiwandi

Palghar/Jamshedpur: As part of its ongoing effort to protect the brand and assets, Tata Steel, in co-ordination with the Maharashtra Police, conducted a joint raid in Palghar and Bhiwandi, on December 30th 2020 to bust a counterfeit product selling activity. The Police seized approximately 54 and 75 bundles of counterfeit Tata Wiron barbed wire material from the respective sellers. FIRs have been lodged in this connection.

Tata Steel strongly condemns the misuse and illegal usage of its trademarks, logos and other intellectual properties of the Company. Such malpractices also impact the revenue collection efforts of the government.

In pursuit of protecting the Company’s brand reputation and goodwill, Tata Steel’s brand protection team continuously monitors and acts against entities including counterfeiters which are infringing on Company’s Intellectual Property Rights.
