Seraikela DC Announces Drug De-Addiction Campaign in Virtual Meeting
Seraikela Deputy Commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla announces a month-long drug de-addiction campaign starting August 15, with involvement from various officials, police officers, and NGOs.
SERAIKELA – Superintendent of Police Dr. Vimal Kumar emphasized that the campaign is about societal change towards drug addiction and that all involved should discharge their responsibilities honestly to fulfill the objective.
The Deputy Commissioner stated that the campaign would commence on August 15 and continue until September 14, urging local public representatives, social organizations, and NGOs to participate for successful operation.
He also instructed broadcasting messages related to drug addiction in various vehicles plying in the municipal areas.
The Deputy Commissioner highlighted that cooperation is expected from all departmental officials and emphasized mutual coordination to ensure the successful operation of the campaign.
In the meeting regarding the drug de-addiction campaign, various activities were directed, including awareness programs, organizing school events, conveying de-addiction messages, and preventing drug use through health teams.
These activities will also involve information dissemination on ill effects on the body and family and will include methods like Prabhat Pheri, Nukkad Natak, and publicity vehicles.
The virtual meeting included prominent officials such as Superintendent of Police Dr. Vimal Kumar, DDC Praveen Kumar Gagrai, PDITDA Sandeep Kumar Doraiburu, Seraikela and Chandil’s Sub-Divisional Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police Headquarters, Deputy Collector General Branch, District Public Relations Officer, Block Development Officers, Zonal Officers, and other department officers.
