In a disturbing event from Humaid under the Chandil police station, Seraikela Kharsawan district, a drug-addicted youth committed patricide and then waited under a tree for police.

SERAIKELA – In a shocking incident in Humaid, a dispute fueled by drug addiction led to a son fatally injuring his father with an iron pipe.

Following the murder, the son bizarrely waited under a tree in front of their home until the police arrived.

The police swiftly responded to the scene, detaining the son and initiating his judicial processing.

The incident, which involved Mahesh Lohar, a 55-year-old resident, and his drug-addicted son, Lal Babu Lohar, has stirred significant local discourse.

Lal Babu’s ongoing conflicts with his father over his drug habits culminated in this tragic altercation on Thursday evening.

The deceased had been actively trying to prevent his younger son from drug use, a source of daily contention between the two.

The police have since conducted a post-mortem on Mahesh Lohar’s body, securing evidence for the ongoing investigation.
