Vivid debate on social media’s role in friendships marks Albert Barrow Memorial All-India Inter-School Creative Writing Competition 2023 at Little Flower School.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Albert Barrow Memorial All-India Inter-School Creative Writing Competition 2023 recently held at Little Flower School was highlighted by a thought-provoking discourse on the theme of social media and its influence on friendships.

The participants passionately argued on the statement Facebook friends are more real than real friends, providing various perspectives that resonated with the audience and deepened their understanding of the complexities surrounding social media usage.

Among the top performers were Avika Pandey of Sacred Heart Convent School, who was acknowledged as the best speaker, and Ayush Mohanty from Gulmohur High School, who stood as the runner-up.

The competition saw Sacred Heart Convent School emerge as the victor, while St. Anthony’s School, Doranda secured the second place.

The event, which was more than just a competition, was a platform for students to enhance their public speaking skills and articulate their thoughts on the captivating topics provided.

Among the 21 participating schools, participants chose to work on intriguing themes such as Share a time when Facebook saved you and On social media, praise is fleeting for their creative projects.

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, which sponsored the event, will soon announce the results.
