Jamshedpur’s XLRI Auditorium to Host Uniform Civil Code Debate

XLRI Jamshedpur Auditorium set to host a seminar on Uniform Civil Code, examining its impact on India’s diversity.

JAMSHEDPUR – A seminar addressing the much-debated topic of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) is scheduled for the 9th of July at XLRI Auditorium in Jamshedpur.

Information about the seminar was revealed during a recent discussion.

The speakers highlighted that implementing the UCC in India, a country marked by diverse castes, societies, and particularly tribal communities, might not be fitting.

These communities value their unique customs and traditions, and the imposition of a standardized code could be deemed oppressive.

The seminar invites suggestions, endorsements, and objections to the UCC, intending to collate these views and forward them to the Central Government.

The speakers stated unequivocally that under no circumstances should the UCC be implemented.
