Renowned Katha Vachak Yugal Kishore Shastri emphasizes the purifying effect of invoking Bhagwan’s name, during the Jagannath Mahaprabhu Rath Yatra Festival.
JAMSHEDPUR – As part of the Shri Shri Jagannath Mahaprabhu Rath Yatra Festival organized by the Bhartiya Krishna Bhavnamrit Sangh, Yugal Kishore Shastri, a respected Katha Vachak from Shri Dham Vrindavan, delivered the third day’s Shrimad Bhagwat Katha at Shri Rajasthan Bhawan, Mango.
During his discourse, Shastri covered various episodes including the worship of Lord Shiva, the narrative of Daksha Prajapati’s sacrifice, and the stories of Dhruv Ji and King Prithu.
Highlighting the power of God’s name, Shastri emphasized that even unintentional or unwilling invocation of God’s name can purify one of all sins, akin to fire burning all it touches.
He suggested that naming children after deities ensures the constant utterance of the divine name, providing spiritual benefits.
Alongside the Katha, continuous services for Shri Jagannath Mahaprabhu, Balabhadra Mahaprabhu, and Mata Subhadra Ji are being held at the Gundicha Temple, located within Rajasthan Bhawan.
The fourth day of the Katha will focus on the birth and childhood of God, featuring a special floral adornment for Shri Vigraha.
The event, attended by a large number of devotees and committee members, continues to captivate the audience with spiritual narratives and religious teachings.
