PLFI Leader Dinesh Gope Sent to Judicial Custody by NIA Court
NIA court sends PLFI supremo Dinesh Gope to judicial custody. Gope, implicated in 102 cases, was arrested on May 21.
RANCHI – The National Investigation Agency (NIA) court has sent People’s Liberation Front of India (PLFI) leader, Dinesh Gope, to judicial custody Tuesday.
Dinesh Gope, who was taken into custody on May 21, was presented in the NIA court today following an eight-day interrogation period.
The items recovered from him, including bullets, were also produced in court.
The court has ordered Gope to be remanded in judicial custody.
Gope had initially been presented to the special NIA court on May 22, when the court had granted an eight-day remand, which concluded today, May 30.
During his period of remand, Gope made multiple revelations, leading to the recovery of a significant amount of bullets and gunpowder at his directive.
The NIA arrested Gope from Delhi and he has a staggering 102 criminal cases registered against him, with a reward of Rs 30 lakh for his capture.
Currently in the custody of the NIA, Gope, during the investigation, directed the NIA team to the location of the ammunition hideout in the forest.
Hailing from Khunti district in Jharkhand, Gope is also known by the names Kuldeep Yadav and “Badku.
Previously, the NIA had filed a charge sheet in a case concerning the recovery of demonetised currency of Rs 25.38 lakh from members of the PLFI.
