Extra Deepavali Special Train From Santragachi to Chennai to Ease Festive Rush

In an effort to accommodate the surge of travelers during Deepavali, railways will operate a special train service.

KOLKATA – In response to the festive swell of passengers this Deepavali season, the Railway authorities have announced special trains connecting MGR Chennai Central and Santragachi.

The special service, aimed at tackling the increased demand, will see three departures from MGR Chennai Central.

Travelers can board the 06071 special on the 11th, 18th, and 25th of November at 23:45 hours, with the train scheduled to arrive in Santragachi at 03:45 hours on the third day.

The return journey, train number 06072, will commence from Santragachi on the 13th, 20th, and 27th of November at 05:00 hours, reaching MGR Chennai Central at 11:00 hours the following day.

Enhancing the journey comfort, the train will feature 14 AC 3 Tier Economy Coaches, 3 Sleeper Class, and 2 General Second Class coaches.

To ensure connectivity across key locations, stops include Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Palasa, Vizianagaram, Duvvada, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, and Gudur stations.
