Over 42,000 Devotees Participate in Shravani Mela at Basukinath Dham

During the state Shravani Mela, over 42,000 devotees participated in rituals at Baba Basukinath Dham in Dumka, marking a significant religious event.

DUMKA – On the 11th day of the State Shravani Mela, Baba Basukinath Dham witnessed an influx of more than 42,000 devotees, all of whom came to perform Jalabhishek and Sparsh Puja of Bhole Nath.

This enormous gathering was managed amidst stringent security measures in place.

The ongoing Shravani Mela has continuously seen a large crowd of Kanwariya devotees at Basukinath Dham, causing certain challenges for the visitors.

Nevertheless, the rain has somewhat eased the difficulties faced by the Kanwariya brothers.

On the 11th day of Shravani, the Baba Basukinath Temple was opened as early as 2.45 am.

Following the completion of the Purohit Puja, the holy water offering and Sparsh Puja started at 4 am, attracting a considerable number of devotees.
