Jamshedpur East’s MLA Saryu Roy criticizes state Health Minister Banna Gupta, calling the viral video case a matter of ‘social importance’ and ‘criminal nature’, not just politics.

Jamshedpur – A fresh salvo has been fired at the State Health Minister Banna Gupta by Jamshedpur East’s MLA, Saryu Roy Friday amidst an ongoing controversy sparked by an alleged video that recently went viral on social media.

In a fresh statement, Roy criticized the State President of the Congress Party’s dismissal of the viral video controversy involving Gupta as merely a political issue.

Roy argued that the incident holds social importance and potentially involves a criminal case.

During a conversation, Roy expressed his discontent over the State Congress President’s stand on the matter.

He said that the Congress state president, in a recent meeting in Jamshedpur, classified Minister Gupta’s viral video episode as a political incident.

Roy asserted that this portrayal is incorrect given that Gupta himself registered a case on this matter.

He said that In the midst of this controversy, a video statement from a woman also surfaced, in which she claimed that it was her speaking to her husband in the viral video.

Roy said that the woman had alleged that the video was tampered with, and Minister Gupta’s image was falsely inserted.

Roy has urged the police to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident and ensure the protection of the woman witness too.

He criticized the current government, alleging the occurrence of many scams under their rule. He stated his intention to present a charge-sheet regarding the issue to the Governor soon, urging him to control and prevent such scams.
