Protests erupt as Jharkhand Mahila Congress demands action against BJP MP Braj Bhushan Sharan Singh over sexual exploitation allegations.
Jamshedpur – The Jharkhand State Mahila Congress, along with various social organizations, have taken to the streets to protest against BJP MP Braj Bhushan Sharan Singh for alleged sexual exploitation of women wrestlers.
Demonstrations took place across the state, including the burning of effigies in Sakchi Golchakkar, Jamshedpur, where women’s organizations also voiced their concerns.
The protestors expressed their disappointment with the central government and the BJP for remaining silent on the matter.
They emphasized the achievements of women wrestlers who have brought pride to the country, only to face sexual exploitation by the MP.
The protesting groups demanded strict legal action against Braj Bhushan Sharan Singh, asserting that the government’s inaction raises questions about the safety of women in India.
